Description
A Practical Guide to Counselling provides you with a hands-on understanding of how counselling works and how it can help people. Alastair Ross offers an invaluable guide to anyone interested in learning more about how counselling works - with expert advice on everything from the ethics of counselling to how to listen attentively and establish a relationship, You'll view things from both a client's and a trainee counsellor's point of view, and will gain both a theoretical and practical grounding in the subject, building the skills to talk and listen to others, as well as determining whether counselling is something you'd like to pursue further.
