Description

A remarkable collection of short fiction from one of our greatest SF authors, including two brand new short stories. This collection contains stories set in the universe of the bestselling duology PROXIMA and ULTIMA, which expand on the characters and worlds of that series. There are also a selection of alternate histories and possible futures, echoing Baxter's work with Terry Pratchett on the LONG EARTH series. Confirms Stephen Baxter's place as one of the greatest practitioners of the SF short story.

Reviews

This impressive collection is a fine introduction to Baxter's fascinating, complex world * SFX * Surreal, funny and, at moments, genuinely creepy. * SFX * If you're in search of some gripping science fiction utilising big concepts and backed by brilliant writing, look no further than Endurance. 10/10 * Starburst Magazine * Favourite bedside reading and beyond. * FORBIDDENPLANET.CO.UK * I love to dive into the future and Stephen Baxter is an author that really delivers for me as a reader. Here within this book the reader is treated to a whole host of short stories that add flavour and background to enrich Stephen's Universe. As with his other books, its well written, delivers some great characters and of course a whole host of tales from different parts of his timeline in order to get a fuller picture. * Falcata Times * a...terrific compilation of stories, best read as a companion to the novels, but strong enough to stand on its own. * Daily Mail * An incredible collection from a modern age successor to H.G. Wells. * UPCOMING4.ME *
