Description
September 11, 2001. A top-secret covert intelligence op, in the planning for years by the U.S. government, is activated at the moment that the Twin Towers collapse on 9/11. A former Special Forces soldier is plucked from the ashes and recruited to give up his very existence to become a phantom assassin to kill the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks on America. Operation Hawk's Nest tells the story of a reluctant, middle-aged, former Special Forces soldier and an elite CIA woman spy operative as they team up together to hunt and kill Osama Bin Laden. It begins in New York and moves back and forth to mysterious capitals of culture and vast deserts and mountains across the globe. Their pasts collide with the future, bringing mystery and romance to a mission with impossible odds. What happens to this unlikely team is also a tale of the secrecy that lurks at the highest levels of government- the double-edged sword of power and shadows. This fast-paced, page-turning thriller is Fitzgerald's captivating debut novel. One man embarks on a mission so secret that even his children believe he perished in the Twin Towers. As the days count down to execution of the mission, no one can stop this man or can they? Can he change the course of history?
Author Biography
John Fitzgerald is from New York City and formerly president of his own production company at the Tribeca Film Center in lower Manhattan, ten blocks from the former World Trade Center. He has written and worked with presidents of companies and countries, celebrities in film, music and sports and with literally thousands of citizen heroes from around the country. He has written scripts and speeches for most of his adult life and now devotes his time to his own material. Of all the people I have worked with during my career, the most satisfying has been with selfless Americans who make a difference in their community. His writing is inspired by their actions.
