Description

The Space Between Us explores the trials of love and what it's like to live a life separated by distance from someone you care about. Its content is thoughtfully divided into five chapters, or phases, of the long-distance experience: At First Glance, Living for Tomorrow, Lonely Nights, Grow Together/Grow Apart, When I See You. A combination of poems and prose are sporadically connected with small graphics and maps to visualise the journey of physical distance. These poems serve as an adhesive between the reader and the ones they miss, the longing, the anticipation, and the eventual relief. Though both authors bring with them a unique perspective, the lens is singular; each is attuned to navigating this complex terrain.

Author Biography

Courtney Peppernell is an LGBT author from Sydney, Australia. In October 2016 she released the bestselling poetry collection Pillow Thoughts. Courtney has been writing her whole life and currently writes young adult novels and poetry collections. In February 2017 she released her second novel, Keeping Long Island. In August 2017 she published Pillow Thoughts and The Road Between. In August 2018, Courtney published Pillow Thoughts II: Healing The Heart. Courtney is working on two new poetry collections and two new novels. When Courtney isn't writing she enjoys exploring, listening to music, drinking coffee, and hanging out with her two dogs, Hero & Dakota, and her cat, Bailey. Zack Grey is a 25-year-old writer from the Eastern US. He's been reading voraciously his whole life and writing since he was 12. In the quiet of his room, the books he read at that young age changed him. The authors, unbeknownst to them, gave him an escape from the difficulties of his home life. He knew then, that one day, he would pay it forward. Zack seeks to make others feel understood, just like his favourite storytellers made him feel. When he's not writing, he loves traveling, cinema, and music of all kinds.
