Description

This handsome volume is a scrapbook bursting with creativity that presents twenty recent projects, inspiring encounters, and ephemeral decors created by designer Vincent Darre. Quirky and richly illustrated with original drawings and personal photographs, each page of this luxurious and joyful album is a poetic exploration, a trip to the heart of fantasy. From hand-rendered interiors for the Ritz Paris hotel, to haute couture shoots for Vogue and theatrical costume designs for Arielle Dombasle, all of the featured projects are original and extravagant exercises in style. Gifted with a wide appreciation for and knowledge of visual culture and a thoughtfully considered, erudite dandyism, Vincent Darre invites us to discover his singular universe that has defined his inimitable style in the world of decoration. With subtlety, he succeeds in making frivolity an art in its own right.
