Description

Betty was the sweet-natured girl next door; Veronica was the raven-haired fashionista; and Archie is slap-bang in the middle of his greatest dilemma...Which girl should he choose? Along the way Betty and Veronica were both the best of friends and the worst of enemies. Sporting the latest trends, from bright polka dots, chic dresses and vivid colours, these comic girls were always at the forefront of style. The Art of Betty & Veronica is a beautifully-designed celebration of the world's most favourite females in comics history.

VICTOR GORELICK is Co-President and Editor-in-Chief of Archie Comics, where he has worked for over 50 years. While there, he has been involved in every aspect of the comics-making process on both the creative and editorial sides- from writing, to lettering, to coloring, to production coordinating, art direction and editing. He has earned a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable, professional and generous members of the comics community, and has played a huge role as editor of such recent Archie successes as The Best of Archie Comics Volumes 1 & 2, Archie Meets Kiss, the Archie- The Married Life series and The Art of Betty and Veronica. Vice magazine has called CRAIG YOE the "Indiana Jones of comics historians." Publishers Weekly says he's the "archivist of the ridiculous and sublime" and calls his work "brilliant." The Onion calls him "the celebrated designer," The Library Journal, "a comics guru." Boing Boing hails him "a fine cartoonist and a comic book historian of the first water." Yoe was Creative Director/Vice President/General Manager of Jim Henson's Muppets, and a Creative Director at Nickelodeon and Disney. Craig has won an Eisner Award and the Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators.
