Author Biography

Katrina Germein writes heartfelt Australian picture books. Published internationally, her much-loved titles include the best-selling books Big Rain Coming and My Dad Thinks Hes Funny. Many of Katrinas stories have won notable commendations from the Childrens Book Council of Australia, been shortlisted in the Speech Pathology Book of the Year Awards and featured on popular childrens television shows, such as Play School. Katrina holds a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and continues to teach part me. Janine Dawsons favourite book as a kid was Dr Seuss One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. She was forever drawing as a youngster. After leaving school she worked in anima on in Australia & overseas for many years before turning to illustrating childrens books in the early 1990s.
