For more information, visit her website www.diannewolfer.com Gabriel Evans currently lives in Western Australia. He was very young when he picked up a paintbrush and discovered he could make marks on paper. Gabriel decided to make this new discovery his profession. Since then he has created paintings using watercolour, gouache, inks, pencils, charcoal and oil. Gabriel co-created a family greeting card line under the name "Creations in a Teapot" (www.creationinateapot.com). He's never had to buy a greeting card since. Gabriel's studio is very messy as he believes creativity is found in clutter. Walker Stories: Annie's Snails (written by Dianne Wolfer) was his first book.

Reviews

The delightful black and white illustrations reflect Annie's dilemma beautifully alongside the sorrow and acceptance of her final decision. * Buzzwords Magazine * Full of fun family adventures and with the charming and inquisitive Annie as the main character, this novel will best suit girl readers 6 and up. * Lamont Books * Annie's Snails is a delightful story of pets, family and care for the natural world. -- Aussie Reviews Part of the Walker Stories series, this is a great stepping stone for children wanting to move on from picture books * Kids Book Review * This is a lovely tale of looking after pets, of learning about snails, of learning to enjoy the garden, of even learning a few letters and putting them together to make words. All in all a delightful first chapter book for younger readers, with three chapters, and published in clear large print, easy for younger readers to try their hands at. * Read Plus * This story is a terrific example for young children on rules about keeping living things in confined spaces. * Buzz Words *
