Description

A full colour alternative history of John Howard's premiership as interpreted by Australia's finest political cartoonists. After more than a decade in government, Australia's political cartoonists have had plenty of time to examine in minute detail not only every aspect of John Howard's philosophy and public policies, but also a goodly portion of his power-walking anatomy from his quivering bottom lip to the swish of his rat-tail.War on the waterfront, GST, Pauline Hanson, black armbands, East Timor, children overboard, Tampa, 9/11, war in Afghanistan, war in Iraq, Bali, IR reform, and, of course, the overwhelming factor in the Howard ascendancy - the sacred trust shown by the Australian people in Howard's maintenance of low interest rates- this book will tell you show you everything you ever wanted to know about the vision and the glory of Team Howard and the titanic ideological struggles with their heroic opponents, Teams Keating / Beazley / Crean / Latham / Beazley / Rudd. You'll also get to see quite a few very peculiar body parts.
