Description

The arrival of cheerful Uncle Fred at castle Blandings signals the eruption of chaos, farce and romantic couplings galore. Fred throws a number of spanners into the works whilst dogmatically pursuing his own agendas, and generally has a rollicking time, despite the long-suffering Baxter's best efforts to avert disaster! A real treat of a listen for any Wodehouse fans out there, and a real laugh for anyone who enjoys a good old British hoorah!

Author Biography

Pelham Grenville Wodehouse was born in 1881 and educated at Dulwich College. He wrote prolifically throughout his life almost until his death in 1975. He is feted for his Jeeves and Wooster, and Blandings series of novels.

Reviews

* I was chuckling even as Pongo Twistleton descended the stairs of the Drones Club on the opening page. The Times * Wodehouse brightens up the dullest day and lightens the heaviest heart. audiobooksreview.co.uk
