This series aims to underpin, facilitate and support the new New Zealand Social Studies curriculum and to bring into focus essential learning about New Zealand society. For the teacher, the Strands Approach is designed to take away the hours/weeks/months of planning trying to 'fit' topics into the new curriculum while ensuring they cover all the requirements.
