Description

Darcy can cope with parents, parties and punch-ups. He can handle his infatuation with the beautiful Audrey, spending quality chess-time with his nerdy friend, Noah, even the misadventures of kayaking on a school excursion. He's a teenage boy, he can deal with it. If only he'd learn to keep his mouth closed.

Reviews

"Darcy's first-person narrative is sharp, reflective and witty delivering a simple tale that is fast paced but laced with poignant moments . . . The serious teenage issues of bullying, friendship, teen and family relationships are tackled but without the angst . . . students of both genders will enjoy this uplifting coming-of-age novel. A must for the collection." --Magpies "Rich, layered verse reminiscent of works such as Sonya Sones' Stop Pretending." --Booklist starred review on Love, Ghosts & Facial Hair and A Place Like This
