Computational structural mechanics has enriched the rational practice of modern structural analysis, design and construction of building systems and other structures in recent years. This book reviews the current state of knowledge and practice in computational structural engineering and identifies research and development needs. It will help to stimulate cooperative research efforts among investigators in the USA and China and other countries.
