Description
A guide to figurative stitching with the sewing machine - using the thread and needle almost as a pencil.
Author Biography
A dedicated reader and scribbler all her life, Rosie James completed her first novel (sadly unpublished) before reaching her teens. Significant success came much later, and over the last twelve years newspaper and magazine articles, short stories and romantic novels followed under her other pen name Susanne James. Rosie's four family sagas were the next stage, the plots reflecting her fascination with the human condition - how different, yet how alike we all are. And in every story one thing is guaranteed - a happy ending.
ReviewsFor anyone who admires the abilities of Rosie James and other artists in drawing figures with stitch, this book is a fascination. -- Wokshop on the Web * Wokshop on the Web * One of our favourite books this year -- Embroidery Magazine * Embroidery Magazine * This book is well laid-out and anyone could pick it up and have a go. The book has a velvet-soft tactile cover that makes it a little bit special. -- Craft Focus * Craft Focus *
