Author Biography

Award-winning author Katie Dale loves nothing more than creating characters - both on page and on-stage! After gaining an English Literature degree she followed her dream of going to drama school, (followed by range of acting jobs including playing Juliet in a national Shakespeare tour and a small role in CAPTAIN AMERICA) then when she was back-packing through South-East Asia she was chosen as a winner of the SCBWI Undiscovered Voices competition which launched her writing career. She loves writing for toddlers up to teens - whilst playing the odd princess/assassin/zombie in-between! Author of: Dog in a Dress and Run, Tom, Run!, Catch It, Jess! and Cat Nap, Dot and Dan and Snack Attack, I Don't Care Said Big Bear and Little Scarlet's Big Fibs Kathryn Selbert is a freelance illustrator and designer currently living in New Haven, Connecticut with her french bulldog Margot. She earned her BFA in Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. While attending RISD, she completed a children's book design internship at Sterling Publishing. She creates illustrations for children, pattern, greeting cards, stationery and events. Illustrator of: Seeds and Stuck in the Tree and I Don't Care Said Big Bear
