Ages 6 to 9 years Mucky is a messy horse. He is so messy that the other horses refuse to share his field with him. Mucky thinks that if only he were a beautiful unicorn then the other horses would like him. Owl overhears Mucky's wish and with the help of the cows and frog, he makes his dream come true... until it rains and Mucky's beautiful white coat washes away. Mucky realises he doesn't need to be a unicorn, because he has wonderful friends already who love him for who he is.
Author Biography
Rachel started her career as a writer very young, with her first poems published without her knowing! At school she became known as the Poetess and she still lives up to that name. Her own reading of The Childe of Hale (her first book) still gives the Maverick team goosebumps! (Click here to listen) Rachel lives in St.Helens with her husband and her little girl, Daisy.
