Reviews

"There s a natural storyteller's cadence to Yeoman s writing . . . that makes these stories ideal for readaloud. . . . Blake s instantly recognizable watercolor-and-ink illustrations . . . are as charming and emotive as ever." "Publishers Weekly"" "The expressive cartoon ink-and-wash illustrations are characteristically endearing and work well with the text, which is a combination of deadpan humor and sheer ruthlessness. . . . The stories are engaging, told in the wry voice of traditional folktales." --School Library Journal "There's a natural storyteller's cadence to Yeoman's writing . . . that makes these stories ideal for readaloud. . . .
