Author Biography

Maurice Hamilton was theObserver's motor racing correspondent from 1990 to 2010 and a summariser on BBC Radio Five Live's motor racing coverage. He has written more than a dozen F1 books, including most recently,Formula 1: The Pursuit of Speed - A Photographic Celebration of F1, and numerous F1 biographies.Formula 1 racing began in 1950 and is the world's most prestigious motor racing competition, as well as the world's most popular annual sporting series.
