Description
Boredom can be a meditation. Boredom can be fun! Or, so thinks the main character of the picture book I Love to be Bored. When she's bored, she loves it - her mind wanders and she can notice the world with fresh eyes. This delightful book espouses the concept that boredom can equal mental freedom, an idea that is especially important for children whose over-scheduled lives and too much screen-time rarely allow time for much-needed, beautiful... boredom!
Author Biography
Ingrid Chabbert was born in 1978 in Aveyron, France and lives today in Carcassonne, France surrounded by all her dogs. She loves to play with words and talk about life, with all its joys and torments. Chabbert's debut picture book was released in 2010 and in 2016 she began publishing comics for both children and adults. After obtaining a masters in sculpture, illustratorSebastien Chebret continued in 2007 to earn a degree in the arts with a focus on children's illustration. His style incorporates a bit of everything and mixes different techniques: digital, gouache, acrylic, watercolour and collage (especially with antique papers from flea markets).
