Wanda the witch is so shy she can't talk! No matter how hard she tries, the words simply won't come out. But when another nervous little witch called Flo joins her class, it seems that Wanda's not the only one who worries about speaking. Then disaster strikes at the magic contest...will Wanda have the courage to shout out the magic words and save her new friend Flo?

Lucy Rowland is a Children's Speech and Language Therapist and lives in the Gloucestershire countryside. With a real passion for language and lots of experience working with young children, Lucy was thrilled when she finally made the leap into picture book writing. When she's not daydreaming about story ideas, reading A. A. Milne or thinking up fun new rhymes, Lucy enjoys backpacking, baking and long walks on the beach. She is rather scared of spiders (and spider-related tricks!) but has now (bravely) done the highest bungee jump in the world! Paula Bowles grew up in Hertfordshire with a house full of animals. She has always loved drawing, reading and playing in her imagination, so she studied illustration at Falmouth College of Arts and became an illustrator. She now lives in Bristol, where she has worked as an illustrator for over 10 years. As well as drawing, Paula likes getting out of the city for long walks and cycle trips in the fresh air (she once cycled from Bristol to Paris!), snuggling indoors with a good book, discovering new music, and dancing the Lindy Hop. Oh, and she also once learned to walk the tightrope!
