Description
1958. Driving through the British countryside, unthinkingly misogynistic space scientist, Dr. Boy Brett, and his companion, Doris Night, pop into a quaint village pub for a cheese ploughman's. But waiting for them outside is a most unwelcome visitor: Grurk, an indestructible, monosyllabic robot from outer space, on a mission to harvest the British Blitz spirit for energy! Pursuing Grurk in their Morris Minor, will Boy and Doris be able to save the British from a life without stiff upper lippedness, or will Her Majesty's Kingdom be forever resigned to a life down in the mouth?

Reviews"This wonderfully written and beautifully rendered volume is a work of real innovation. Capturing the pseudoscientific, misogynistic, and pipe-chomping "intellectuals" portrayed in low-budget horror films, the dialog is rife with laughs and double entendre. This is a treat for all ages." - Library Journal - starred review "It Came was a treat." - Atomic Moo "Funny in such an affectionate, knowledgeable way. No one writes a deadlier parody of something than a true fan with a sense of humor about the stuff and creator Dan Boultwood doesn't miss a step." - CBR "Dan Boultwood has created a witty and magnificent comic that everyone should purchase immediately." - Fanboy Comics "Clever, ridiculous, and most of all, really damn entertaining." - Giant Freakin Robot "With each panel and each page flip, I had a smile on my face, so definitely pick this comic book up!" - Retrenders "Incorporating 1950s B-movie charm and a lot of satire." - Kirkus "If you have fond memories of late night Mystery Science Theatre 3000 marathons, then IT CAME! will hit all the right beats for you" - Newsarama "Not only is IT CAME! funny and smart, I suspect it will still be funny on the re-read" - Den Of Geek "You must be ready to read IT CAME with tongue surgically grafted to cheek." - Ain't It Cool Flat-out funny 1950's tomfoolery that any fan of science fiction should own. Dan Boultwood, who did everything, is amazing! Overall grade: A+ - Sci Fi Pulse Dan Boultwood, the creator/artist, manifests a lush animation-cel technique which brings about a real 1950s B-movie-style feel, with a firm tongue-in-cheek approach - Broken Frontier Boultwood's story is solid storytelling. The art speaks for itself and I can't say enough about the quality of the drawings inked by Boultwood. I can't wait to see what happens next in issue #2. - Its Comic Book Day Titan Comics has a new creator in town, in the form of artist extraordinaire, Dan Boultwood! - Geeky Girls Love SciFi
