Author Biography

Pete was a film critic for BBC Radio One before becoming a teacher in a secondary school. He is author of over 50 books, including the six bestselling titles in the Louis the Laugh series. His books have won various awards including the Young Telegraph Award and the Brilliant Book Award, and have been translated into more than 20 languages worldwide. Angela Hewitt is one of those rare adults who has kept her vivid, childlike imagination, and this is reflected in her illustrations. Largely self-taught in illustration, she has been drawing since a young age, and with the support of her mum eventually made art her dream career. She loves a good book shop and can spend hours browsing the shelves - children's books being her favourite! James graduated from Falmouth University with a BA (Hons) in Illustration in 2007. He lives in the UK, where he loves the countryside, music and illustrating dogs getting up to mischief. Angela Hewitt is one of those rare adults who has kept her vivid, childlike imagination, and this is reflected in her illustrations. Largely self-taught in illustration, she has been drawing since a young age, and with the support of her mum eventually made art her dream career. She loves a good book shop and can spend hours browsing the shelves - children's books being her favourite!
