Description

Mrs Golightly doesn't like animals - and now a whole zoo has moved next door! No matter how hard she tries to shoo them away, she finds animals everywhere: a kangaroo on the loo, a giraffe in her bath, and even ants in her pants. What can she do to get rid of these stinky, bothersome creatures? Bursting with colour, delightful rhyme and outrageous humour, SHOO! is acclaimed children's author Susie Bower's first picture book.

Author Biography

By the time she hit her teens, Susie Bower had lived in 8 houses and attended 7 schools. This theme continued in her working life: she's been a teacher, a tour-guide, a typist, a workshop facilitator, a PA and a painter. She formerly wrote and directed TV programmes for children at the BBC and Channel 4, for which she won a BAFTA Award, and she currently writes audio scripts. School for Nobodies and The Three Impossibles are also available from Pushkin Children's. Susie lives in Bristol. Francesca Gambatesa is an exciting new talent in illustration. She is the illustrator of picture book The Sacconejolys and the Great Cat-Nap (Egmont) by YouTube sensations the Saconnejolys, as well as picture books for Egmont, Penguin Random House, Pearson and Usborne. Francesca was born in Beirut, and lived and worked in Istanbul and Rome before she moved to London. She originally trained in animation, trying many different styles and media, before becoming an illustrator.
