Dad is a Master Baker and Albert is expected to one day follow in his footsteps. There's just one problem ... Phil Earle was born and raised in Hull. His first job was as a care worker in a children's home. Phil then chose the more sedate life of a bookseller, and now works in children's publishing. He is the author of several award-winning novels including Get Me Out of Here, a recent collaboration with Andy McNab, Being Billy, and The Bubble Wrap Boy. Steve May studied illustration and animation. His exuberant, madcap, action-packed style makes his work extremely popular - it's become a regular feature in the world of children's books.
