Author Biography
A former primary school teacher, alan has written over 60 books and won many awards in the UK. He has always been shortlisted twice for the carnegie Medal and his books have been published all over the world in dozens of languages. As well as being a writer, Alan is a high profile library campaigner and also an education consultant and is a very popular speaker at schools, libraries, colleges and conferences - he visits over 150 schools a year!
