Description

Two very different creatures learn about the give-and-take of friendship in this warm and funny story set in the desert. Snake is elegant and calm, and a little self-centred; Lizard is exuberant and irrepressible. With its wisdom, acceptance and good humour, Snake and Lizard captures the essence of friendship. The stories are beautifully illustrated by Gavin Bishop in warm and clear colours of the desert.

Reviews

"I love them. They're warm, they're witty." -- John McIntyre, Radio New Zealand "This would make a nice read aloud to younger elementary school children. Also recommend to kids who like animal stories like Frog and Toad by Lobel or the Little Bear stories by Minarik." -- Starred review, Youth Services Book Review "There are some real ethical dilemmas in this book, for which reason I think it would be really rewarding to read aloud and discuss with children. It would also be great for junior readers starting out with chapter books." -- The Spinoff "I love them.
