Description

There is a lot to learn about being a ballerina. It is hard work and can seem silly at times. But when you walk out on the stage, it's like magic and fireworks and Christmas-tree lights in your tummy. From the team behind the best-selling All of the Factors of Why I Love Tractors comes a cheeky story about discovering the joys of dance.

Author Biography

Davina Bell is an award-winning writer for young readers of many ages. She writes picture books (including All the Ways to be Smart and Under the Love Umbrella), junior fiction (Lemonade Jones) and middle-grade fiction (the Corner Park Clubhouse series and the Alice books in the Our Australian Girl series). Davina's debut young-adult novel will be published in 2020. She lives in Melbourne, where she works as a children's book publisher. Jenny Lovlie is a Norwegian illustrator based in Cardiff, UK. She grew up in Northern-Norway on Ekkeroy, a tiny peninsula sticking out into the Barents Sea, where she was the first child to be born in 12 years. Jenny moved to London to study Illustration & Animation at Kingston University, and graduated with a BA Hons in 2014. She draws inspiration from the wild landscapes of Scandinavia, nordic folklore and Scandinavian design. Jenny loves using bold colours, interesting textures and strong shapes in creating landscapes, people and animals.
