Author Biography

Chef Karen Martini's acclaimed career includes two-hatted stints at Melbourne Wine Room and Sydney's Icebergs Dining Room, as well as her own ventures - the latest of which is the ambitious Hero, in Melbourne's iconic ACMI building, where she is a founding partner and creative food director. Karen has had a TV presence for nearly two decades, including as resident chef on Australia's longest-running lifestyle television series, Better Homes and Gardens. She is a weekly columnist for Good Weekend, she is in-demand at events and festivals, and she is the author of eight cookbooks. Her newest book, COOK, is by far her most comprehensive and ambitious, cementing her place as the voice of a generation and an authority that will endure in readers' lives for decades to come.
