Reviews

Faithfully retold and brilliantly illustrated, this graphic novel brings Norse myths to life. . . .Clearly demarcated panels and bright, eye-catching illustrations have a classic comic book feel. Though the vocabulary is challenging, the book is accessible, and even younger children will enjoy the action-packed stories. With the popularity of Marvel's "Thor" franchise and Rick Riordan's "Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard" series, this volume is guaranteed to see bountiful circulation. A highly recommended addition to graphic novel or folktale collections.-- "School Library Journal" These stories show some of the background of Odin and his sons and depict Loki as the villain, not as a trickster. This graphic novel is well done and easy-to-read with excellent illustrations.-- "Imagination Soup" This is an engaging, visually vibrant collaborative graphic novel of Norse myths. The stories are varied, interesting, and introduce many Norse mythological characters like Odin, Thor, Loki, Thialfi, Baldur, and more. . . .The full-color artwork is dynamic and will keep students hooked throughout, especially fans of the illustrators' comic book art. Overall this book would make for an action-packed addition to a graphic novel collection or any collection in need of examples of Norse mythology.-- "School Library Connection"
