Sam Loman graduated in Illustration from the Willem de Kooning Academie in Rotterdam, after which she got her master's degree in Art & Design from the University of Hertfordshire. She now works as an illustrator, graphic designer and author and creates children's books, stationery, postcards, wallpaper and much more.

"I read this with my 4 year old daughter. We both really enjoyed the story a lot. I asked her what her favorite part was, and she said that the part where Bear chooses to be brave and knock on the door was her favorite part. I agree. This book deals with complex emotions, however, it doesn't really explain them. I don't think it needs to, though.
