Patricia Castelaowas born in Santiago de Compostela, a little town in the north of Spain. Since she was young she always had a special relationship with painting, which finally inspired her to abandon university, when she was about to complete her degree in medicine, and pursue a career in illustration. Now, after having worked for several animation studios doing color design and concept art she has established herself as a freelance illustrator, making books for children and young adults, as well as covers and posters. While she's not working she likes to spend time with her partner, Marcos, who is also an illustrator.
