Description
"Love and the Soul" teaches how the soul can engage with the outer world. We are unaware of the power of imagination, and doubt that the power of love can change the world. The world of the present is based on mechanistic premises, so that is the way the world appears to us. We behave as though we were mechanical objects in this vast mechanism, which results in devastation and dysfunction. By accessing our inner vibrancy and deeper sense of purpose, we bring what is inside of us out into the world. This is what brings balance and stability and affects our world for the better. This book shows in concrete ways that the recreation of the Earth is dependent on connecting with Earth through the creative medium of soul.Robert Sardello states in his book that 'Soul is not an entity but an activity'. We must identify with the plight of the Earth by developing of a true sense of individual imagination and conscious awareness of inner purpose and beauty in conjunction with the soul of the world. No other book in the area of ecology or of eco-psychology proposes such a radically innovative and promising approach to Earth care. Tying in The Grail legend and the myth of Sophia, as well as writings by C.G. Jung, James Hillman, and Rudolf Steiner, Sardello describes the world significance of grieving, the transformative power of radical receptivity, the creative power of dreaming, and a new basis for community.

Reviews"Whatever Sardello touches breaks open with startling new meaning. Now he enters the great arena of our cultural disorders so that we can suddenly see them afresh. I have thieved privately from his mind for fifteen years. At last his work is out, available to anyone recognizing the need to reimagine the soul's plight in a world astray."-James Hillman, founder of archetypal psychology and author of The New York Times best seller The Soul's Code: In Search of Character and Calling
