Description

Professor Alice Creed doesn't have tenure. And she never will, as long as she keeps ditching her lectures to kill monsters. But when a dark force from between universes begins seducing young souls through an innocent computer game, she packs her occult relics, holy water and iPad to kick eldritch ass! Throw in a friend unstuck in time, an army of evil mannequins, a college student possessed by a demon and the worst flight experience ever, and you have a week in the life of techno-occult adventurer Alice Creed!

Author Biography

Alex de Campi is well known for her 2005 mini-series Smoke (published by IDW Publishing, art by Igor Kordey), which was nominated for the Eisner Award for Best Limited Series, and her 2006 manga series Kat & Mouse (published by Tokyopop, art by Federica Manfredi). De Campi's work falls outside the superhero genre, with Smoke being a political thriller, and Kat & Mouse detailing the adventures of two mystery-solving high school students (a "CSI for tweens"); she has published work for children (e.g. Agent Boo) and for the European market (e.g. her French language sci-noir series Messiah Complex). Her other work includes the Valentine mobile comic, which is the main focus of her column Uncanny Valleygirl at the comics industry website Bleeding Cool. The author lives in Blue Hill, ME..

Reviews

"[Ordway's] work is classically tinged, but never feels dated. De Campi's script is solid, introducing a few very intriguing elements of this new universe." -Infinite Comix
