Will you: Be a designer of the bridge, working to solve the many challenges created by such an enormous project? Work as a crewmember, accepting the dangers of laboring hundreds of feet in the air above the cold, swirling currents of San Francisco Bay? Experience situations taken from real life. YOU CHOOSE what you'll do next. The choices you make will either lead you to success or to failure.

Author Biography

After reading The Hobbit in the fifth grade, Blake Hoena knew that he wanted to be a writer and just like JRR Tolkien. To follow his dreams, he moved to Minnesota to pursue a master of fine arts degree in creative writing, and has since written more than 60 books for kids, from graphic novels to books about dinosaurs and mythology, biographies of famous people, and choose-your-path adaptations of classics tales and historic events. Blake now lives in St. Paul with his dog Ty, who curls up at his feet whenever he writes.

Reviews

These "Choose Your Own Adventure"-style books invite readers to assume roles as architects and builders of sites that set historical records in their magnitude. . . .these will best serve as supplemental material for classroom units dealing with famous structures.-- "School Library Journal"
