Description

Radical slam poet and queen of social justice Titania McGrath has turned her talents to the realm of children's non-fiction. Aimed at activists from the age of six months to six years, Titania's book will help cultivate a new woke generation, following in the footsteps of GOOD NIGHT STORIES FOR REBEL GIRLS, C IS FOR CONSENT and THE LITTLE GIRL WHO GAVE ZERO FUCKS. Titania believes that childhood is a form of slavery, with adults indoctrinating their charges into outdated belief systems. Why, for instance, do teachers focus so relentlessly on mathematics and literacy when their pupils lack even the most basic understanding of poststructuralist queer theory? Titania is able to empathise with the young because she too is oppressed. She is a woman in a patriarchal world. She is an ecosexual in a heteronormative culture. She is a vegan in an ocean of carnivorous aggressors. She is also hay-racial, which means that her ethnic identity tends to fluctuate depending on the pollen count. In MY FIRST LITTLE BOOK OF INTERSECTIONAL ACTIVISM, Titania will take her young readers on a tour of the new cultural titans from Caroline Criado-Perez to Michelle Obama and Jo Swinson to 12-year-old drag kid sensation Desmond is Amazing. Essential bedtime reading for every child who dreams of standing up to oppression - and changing the world.

Reviews

Fabulously smart and entertaining . . . If virtue-signalling wokery drives you as nuts as it drives me, you will love it * Piers Morgan * Pithy take-downs, wrapped up as backhanded compliments, are what make Titania McGrath so hilarious, and so infuriating as far as her detractors are concerned . . . It takes a certain genius to demolish revered cultural icons through satire - poking fun with unnerving accuracy under the pretence of fulsome support (one reason why the triggered and trigger-happy Twitter politburo have so far failed to permanently send Titania to the digital Gulags). Andrew Doyle is equal to this task, and the laugh-to-page ratio is ridiculously high . . . required reading for anyone needing an antidote to the mass hysteria of humanity's latest religion * Entertainment Focus *
