Lee makes monsters and art in Athens, Georgia, where he lives with his wife, son, and two cats, who are all very tolerant of his occasional banjo racket.

Reviews

"Katie Coombs imaginative verses employ a variety of forms that will send tingles down the spines of primary age readers while Lee Gatlin's creepy illustrations home in on the grim and gruesome with plenty of details of the shivery kind." -- Red Reading Hub "Accompanied by macabre illustrations and plenty of gruesome humour, these spooky rhymes are great fun to read aloud to little monsters, particularly at Halloween." -- BookTrust "This collection is beautifully and expressively illustrated, each page full of visual imagery waiting for the young reader to discover with delight. On the whole, it is a well-designed book which, I'm sure, children will love to own and treasure. An adult reading with a child will enjoy its referential nuances of mythology, folklore and childhood memories. A must-have children's book." -- Carousel
