Description

From the multi award-winning picture book maker of A Bit Lost, Oh No, George! and Shh! We Have a Plan, comes the ultimate bedtime board book. A series of exquisitely coloured cut pages of increasing size introduce woodland families - bears, deer, rabbits and teeny, tiny mice - who are all beginning to feel really ... rather ... tired ... YAWN! "Dear me," says Great Big Bear, "it must be time for bed!" But Little Bear is certainly not sleepy - he's wide awake! (For now...) With sublime, starry night time scenes and an infectious yawny "Good night" refrain, Chris Haughton creates a lulling bedtime read, perfect for parents and children to share together.

Reviews

Cut pages are cleverly used to take the reader on a journey through the woods, while repetitive, sleepy actions and a well-paced text make this a pleasure to read aloud. * The Bookseller * Chris Haughton's blocky, expressive style and terse text are teamed with cut pages in a richly coloured, hypnotic ode to sleep; this perfect starlit bedtime book will have parents yawning dangerously alongside their offspring. * Guardian * The visuals are the main appeal of this beautiful bedtime book, which explodes with a fantastic pink-and-purple starry colour palette, as well as having a simple and lulling bedtime story that will help little ones yawn along. * Booktrust * A stunningly illustrated bedtime book for toddlers. [...] Goodnight Everyone is a lulling bedtime read that parents and children can share. * Woman's Way * If this beautifully illustrated book doesn't persuade reluctant toddlers to settle down for a night's sleep then nothing will. [...] Worth a try for age two and upwards. * Irish Examiner *
