Description

This school edition, first published by Macmillan in 1953, includes an introduction, the Latin text, notes on the text and an appendix containing brief selections from Livy, Ovid and Horace relating to themes in the legends and history of Rome relevant to the subject matter of Aeneid VIII.

H.E. Gould edited Caesar Gallic War III, Cicero: De Amicitia and Five Roman Poets, all published by Bloomsbury. J.L. Whiteley taught Classics at Kilburn Grammar School, Middlesex and Selhurst Grammar School, Croydon, as well as producing an extensive range of Latin texts along with H. E. Gould.
