Author Biography

David A. Adler is the celebrated author of more than two hundred books for children. His books have received many honors, including the Sydney Taylor Book Award, Boston Globe-Horn Book Award Honor Book, a Golden Kite Honor Book, and a NCTE Orbis Pictus Award Honor Book. He lives in the New York City metropolitan area. David A. Adler and Michael S. Adler have collaborated on several books in the Picture Book Biography series. A Picture Book of John and Abigail Adams was called "impressive" by Kirkus Reviews. Both authors live in New York State. Matt Collins has illustrated many children's books. Booklist called his illustrations for A Picture Book of Harry Houdini "dramatic." He lives in Connecticut.
