Author Biography

Tina Berning started her career designing album covers for the music industry. Soon, however, she began to concentrate on her own picture worlds, found her expression in art, and quickly become an illustrator in high demand worldwide. Her work has been published in renowned anthologies, including American Illustration and Illustration Now! She has contributed work to advertising campaigns for clients such as Mercedes-Benz, Tiffany and Co., and Shiseido, and her work regularly appears in publications such as the New York Times, Architectural Digest, Playboy, and Vogue Italia. Her art has been shown in solo exhibitions in Berlin, Amsterdam, Tokyo, and New York. She lives in Berlin. Claudia Seidel trained in couture before becoming a curator, art critic, and features and executive editor of art magazines. She has done work for the Mak Museum for Applied Arts in Vienna and the Daimler Art Collection in Stuttgart and Berlin. Her work has appeared in the German publications Frame, Flash Art, Vorn, and Tush. She has contributed interviews and essays to a number of artist's monographs, cultural studies, and show catalogues. She lives and works in Stuttgart, Hamburg, and Berlin.
