Author Biography

Comic book and screenwriter Nathan Edmondson is a native of Augusta, GA. He created the hit comics Olympus, The Light, Who is Jake Ellis?, Where is Jake Ellis?, The Activity, Dancer and The Dream Merchant. He wrote Grifter for DC Comics and Ultimate Iron Man for Marvel Comics and he is currently the writer behind Black Widow and The Punisher. He is also the author of Splinter Cell: Echoes for Ubisoft. His Eisner-nominated book Who is Jake Ellis? is soon to be a major motion picture from 20th Century Fox. NPR has listed his work among the "Top 6 Comics to Draw You In" and USA Today and CNN are among those who have listed him in their Top 10 lists. A former Disney animator who worked on fi lms including The Lion King and Pocahontas, artist Phil Noto is well-known for his work on DC Comics' Jonah Hex and Birds of Prey, and DC/Wildstorm's Danger Girl. For Marvel, he has illustrated Avengers: The Origin, recounting the formation of Earth's Mightiest Heroes; the Wolverine/Jubilee miniseries; issues of X-23; and a stunning array of covers for Astonishing X-Men and other titles. Also an accomplished painter, Noto has been exhibited in solo shows in New York, Los Angeles and Paris. He has published a collection of his art called Jet Seven.
