Author Biography

Award-winning comic-book creator Brian Michael Bendis is one of the most successful writers working in mainstream comics today. He helmed a renaissance for Marvel's popular Avengers franchise, writing every issue of New Avengers and launching Avengers, Mighty Avengers and Dark Avengers. He has also completed an acclaimed run on Daredevil and written the event projects House of M, Secret War, Secret Invasion, Siege and Age of Ultron. Bendis is one of the architects of Marvel's Ultimate line of comics, having written every issue of Ultimate Spider-Man since its launch in 1999, as well as Ultimate Fantastic Four, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Marvel Team-Up, Ultimate Origin, Ultimate Six and the Ultimate Enemy trilogy. The introduction of multiracial Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales made USA Today's front page and went on to become a hotbed topic on Fox News, CNN, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, The Howard Stern Show and more. Bendis has now taken on Marvel's merry mutants in the pages of All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, and launched Guardians of the Galaxy into the stratosphere for Marvel NOW! One of comics' premier artists, Bryan Hitch is best known for his dynamic, detailed artwork on The Authority and JLA. His other credits include Marvel's Sensational She-Hulk and X-Men; Marvel UK's Action Force, Doctor Who, Mys-Tech Wars and Death's Head; DC's Superman; and Image's Stormwatch. Hitch's collaboration with writer Mark Millar on The Ultimates, Ultimates 2 and Fantastic Four established him as a comic mega-star. Hitch has provided character designs for the Ultimate Avengers and Ultimate Avengers 2 films, and the video game Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. An industry veteran, artist Brandon Peterson got his big break pencilling Uncanny X-Men. Following a stint at Top Cow, Peterson returned to Marvel - illustrating such titles as Magneto Rex, Astonishing X-Men and X-Men. Since serving as CrossGen's lead artist, art director and vice president, Peterson's Marvel credits include such series as Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate Extinction and Strange. Following his dynamic and eye-catching work on Marvel UK's Dark Guard, Spanish artist Carlos Pacheco went on to illustrate Bishop, X-Universe, Starjammers and Excalibur for Marvel before becoming regular penciler on X-Men. He then teamed with Kurt Busiek on the fan-favourite Avengers Forever. Pacheco wrote and drew Fantastic Four, and penned a spin-off Inhumans miniseries. His first work upon returning to Marvel in 2009 was Ultimate Comics Avengers with writer Mark Millar. He subsequently helped relaunch Uncanny X-Men with Kieron Gillen.
