Description

Little Alien is sick. And sick is extra-terrestrial bad when you have two scratchy throats, five ears that hurt, and three runny noses. Splatch! Sputter! Spurt! Luckily Mama and Daddy Alien have an arsenal of lunar decongestants and meteor showers on hand to make him feel a little better (not to mention a Milky Way milkshake to help the medicine go down). Even so, the family's alien pooch, Mars Rover, can't stand to see his little buddy feeling out of sorts. Can a loyal pup's funny tricks finally coax a smile?

Reviews

Campbell's pen, watercolor, and colored pencil illustrations keep the focus on the central action, though there are enough tantalizing details of the alien world to whet readers' appetites. Mama Alien is pink, Daddy's blue, and their son is green. All are expressive. Kids who are ill here on Earth may be entertained by this look at one alien's cold and his family's attempts to make him feel better. -Kirkus Reviews Anyone with a cold will find comfort in the company of this sick little alien as he sneezes with increasing ferocity. -School Library Journal Aliens Get the Sniffles, Too! is a good add to picture book collections - we can never have enough sick day books! -Mom Read It (blog) The perfect addition to any stocking. -Stephany's Sweet Life (blog)
