It's not often that one of the world's greatest composers is accused of plagiarising his wife's work, but an Australian musical expert has cast doubt on whether Johann Sebastian Bach wrote all his own material. Conductor Martin Jarvis believes Bach's cello suites were composed by the German musician's second wife, Anna Magdalena Bach (1701-60). Martin W. B. Jarvis is Associate Professor of Music at Charles Darwin University and Artistic Director of the Darwin Symphony Orchestra, and in 2007 was awarded the Order of Australia Medal for services to music.
