Author Biography

Geraldine McCaughrean began writing after taking a job at a magazine publishing house. She has won many high profile awards: A Little Lower than the Angels won the Whitbread Children's Novel Award and A Pack of Lies received the Carnegie Medal and the Guardian Children's Fiction Award. The Kite Rider again won her the Carnegie and Not the End of the World has won this year's Whitbread Award.
