Malorie Blackman is best known as the author of the acclaimed Noughts & Crosses series. She has written over fifty books including Pig-Heart Boy and Noble Conflict, and is acknowledged as one of today's most imaginative and convincing writers for young readers. In 2008 she was awarded an OBE for her services to children's literature, and was appointed the Children's Laureate 2013-2015 in June 2013.
