Author Biography

Paul Trevillion is a world-famous sports artist, recognized as the 'Leonardo of Line' and the 'Master of Movement'. He is best known for his 1960s 'Roy of the Rovers' comic art realism and for being the creator of the iconic 'You Are the Ref' referee conundrum comic strip. Trevillion has met and drawn many of the sport's biggest names, and his work has appeared in museums, galleries and almost every national newspaper in the UK. John Holder spent 22 years as a high-class umpire. His umpiring career included 11 tests, his first being in 1988 when England played Sri Lanka and his last at Lords when England played Australia in 2001. In 2019, he was awarded the Cricket Society's Ian Jackson award for his contribution and commitment to cricket.
