Author Biography

Vikki Haffenden, author of the techniques chapters, is a textiles expert with a special focus in digital knit design and practice. Following a career in industry design practice and wide-ranging consultancy work, Vikki now teaches on computer knit design and theories of practice at the University of Brighton. She has worked on DK's The Knitting Book (2011), Knit Step by Step (2012), Big Book of Knitting (2013), and Baby & Toddler Knits Made Easy (2013). Frederica Patmore, author of the tools and materials, all updated projects, and original stitch pattern chapters, has worked as a Design Consultant for Rowan Yarns, one of the biggest providers of luxury yarns in the world. She runs a number of classes in department stores and knitting shops, contributes to needlecraft publications, and is an accomplished knitting pattern designer.
