Reviews

As always, Byatt wields beautiful prose, and the mix of prose and poetry gives the book a sensuality as mysterious as anything in the plot Intelligent, ingenious and humane * Times Literary Supplement * A combination of intellectual fireworks and magnetic readability * Guardian *
