Description

Jon Scieszka's Guys Read Library of Great Reading-a collection of books featuring writing from some of the biggest names in children's literature-made its debut with Guys Read: Funny Business, an anthology of original short fiction from some of the funniest writers working today. The book has enjoyed rave reviews from librarians, teachers, parents, and young readers, and we're proud to be following up that installment with the latest in this rip-roaring library, featuring mystery and thriller stories. The contributions come from bestselling, award-winning, and fresh new talent alike, including James Patterson, Anthony Horowitz, Margaret Peterson Haddix, M. T. Anderson, Walter Dean Myers, Gennifer Choldenko, Jarrett J. Krosoczka, Matt de la Pena, and more, along with cover and interior artwork from Brett Helquist. And in the stories, you'll find an eleven-year-old ghost, a Somali pirate, the world's worst private detective, and a warehouse full of snakes...and that's just the beginning. As with the first book, this volume will be available simultaneously in both hardcover and paperback. What more could a guy ask for
